    Responsibilities

    We are currently searching for a Desktop Management Specialist with Tanium experience to join our team in support of the USPS. This positionis located in Raleigh, NC at the RITSC Campus.

    • Team size is 5 – 10
    • Similar skillset to systems administrator. 
    • Looking for someone who has been in an environment where automation is required, not someone who has been doing things manually - Scripting experience is important.

    Day-to-day activities: 

    • Interfacing with CSOC
    • Support patching
    • Tanium support

    Two primary goals for someone in this role: 

    • Patch management automation using Tanium
    • Finding and removing unsupported software

    Qualifications

    • Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security operations and/or related IT operational functions
    • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security (Masters Degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
    • Worked with 1k+ desktops at 50+ locations. 20+ servers. Enough to require extreme automation.
    • Experience with Tanium.
    • Experience with Firewall concepts and rules
    • Experience with WAN/LAN network configuration, protocols, and bandwidth restrictions
    • Ability to troubleshoot workstations and server (Windows 7 and 10 severs 2008, 2012, 2016)
    • Ability to independently installs, tests, and implements complex component-level changes within the technology infrastructure.
    • Ability to operates, maintains, and provides customer support for a wide variety of complex technology components.
    • Ability to analyze and develop innovative resolutions for complex problems involving availability and/or performance at the component level. 
    • Works independently with vendors to resolve problems and, implements solutions.
    • Must be able to obtain a Government Sensitive Clearance (US Citizenship or Permanent Residence/Green Card status required). Must not have travelled outside of the US for a combined period of 6 months (or longer) within the last 5 years.

    CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required):

    • Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE), CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CISCO Certified Network Engineer (CCNE), VMware Certification (VCP-6), CompTIA Security+, CISSP.
