    • Oversees the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements. Knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of security.
    • Primarily responsible for the implementing and developing the IT security plans; gathering and organizing technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products and ongoing programs;
    • Performs risk analyses that includes risk assessment; providing support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s information security; providing support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs; Conduct analysis of software for risk assessment and approval into the software baseline
    • Designs and implements security related to IT systems;
    • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff; providing an interface and information to the cyber security team for creation and resolution of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M);
    • Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills. Presents a working knowledge in many areas including understanding business security practices and procedures, currently available security tools, hardware/software security implementation, various communication protocols, encryption techniques/tools, familiarity with commercial products and current technology.


    Minimum Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Mathematics or Engineering. Other degree disciplines considered with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in security IT analysis and implementation.


    Minimum Experience:

    Has a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in cybersecurity engineering field conducting security and compliance assessments, testing technical controls, and a full understanding of the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) or A&A process, and understanding of NIST 800-53. Individual must hold a DOD 8570.01 IASAE Level III certification: Certified Information System Security Professional CISSP - ISSAP or CISSP - ISSEP.


    Active DoD Security Clearance is required.
