    Responsibilities

    The Project Manager is a senior manager responsible for coordinating the management of all work performed.  The Project Manager shall act as the central point of contact.

    • Responsible for coordinating the effort of subcontractors, team members, and vendors. Capable of negotiating and making binding decisions for the company.
    • Applies PM principles to guide IT cybersecurity program accomplishment through phases of the IT development cycle.
    • Establishes management controls such as milestones, expenditure rates, metrics and management reviews to reflect IT program status and provide early detection of problems.  Recommends resolutions to IT programmatic problems.
    • Recommends tradeoffs to cost, schedule and performance, as required.  Identifies and manages risk using accepted industry practices for risk management. Builds project schedule using Integrated Master Schedule, Work Breakdown Schedule, and critical path.
    • Applies state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to IT program guidance, planning and solutions.
    • Prepares, staffs and monitors status of deliverables.
    • Reviews IT deliverables and provides recommendations for decisions.
    • Provides IT cybersecurity program planning analysis and support for other administrative and IT program management disciplines.
    • Develops, plans and manages strategies for IT security program development.
    • Generates IT program plans, goals, and objectives consistent with policies and requirements to achieve customer goals.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Experience: Has a DOD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification (i.e., GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC), CISM, or CISSP); at least ten (10) years of relevant experience directing a team of qualified security professionals. PMP certification desired. Also:

    • Familiar with security penetration testing and vulnerability scanning methods and tools.
    • More than ten years’ experience managing small to medium sized contracts, interfacing with senior customers, managing personnel. 
    • Familiarity in all phases of IT security with emphasis on the DOD and NIST security policy, vulnerability detection, analysis, testing, and documentation. 
    • Experienced interpreting DOD and NIST cybersecurity guidance and applying guidance to projects.
    • Familiarity applying principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific IT security testing, scanning, analysis and reporting requirements.
    • Experienced in MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Excel.
    • Excellent oral and written skills.
    • Ability to obtain Security Clearance - Must be a US Citizen.

    Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline; may be considered equivalent to two (2) years of relevant information security experience.
