    The Mid-Level Configuration Manager will apply process improvement and re-engineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects under the direction of a more experienced CM.  Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer to accomplish process improvement or creation.  Key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of re-engineering efforts.

    • Support project teams in documenting, monitoring, maintaining and reporting baseline configuration
    • Acquire and organize configuration documentation in Configuration Library
    • Assist configuration teams in locating configuration information in Configuration Library
    • Monitor and report on the development Contractors' Configuration Management activities
    • Receive, classify, and catalog software delivered to test and deployment computing environments to include cost, expiration, and web site
    • Perform functional, physical, and delivery configuration audits
    • Interfaces with the customer concerning Configuration Library research on technical and operational issues
    • Support Configuration Control Boards and Change Working Groups including agenda and minute preparation, coordination with board members, writing appropriate board directives, and tracking action item status
    • Administrative support for meeting minutes, notes, action item tracking, status reports, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM), and contractual clarifications
    • Review and recommend process improvements


    Skills required

    • 2-5 years’ experience in Configuration Management, Library and Information Sciences or other related field
    • Associate's degree or equivalent
    • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance
    • Experience providing organizations responsible for systems’ operation and maintenance access to information stored in Configuration Library
    • Possess basic capability to maintain and update Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and processes pertaining to Configuration Management
    • Basic knowledge of maintaining technical library and administrator roles
    • Capable of providing Quality Assurance (QA) support to include maintaining the assigned library, periodic reviews of processes for compatibility and completeness
    • Travel if required.
    • ITIL Foundations Certification
    • Security Plus Certification (desired)

      *Active Secret clearance is required.
