Responsibilities

Assists in designing, developing, and implementing Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy and producing client plans and EA modernization roadmaps that reflect client’s goals and objectives. Analyzes system requirements to support IT infrastructure.  Analyzes user requirements in light of network infrastructure, systems, and applications to ensure alignment.  Provides insight and recommendations based on As-Is and To-Be architectures to assist decision makers with IT investment decisions. 

 

  • Assist in developing the overall architecture structure and provide guidance for the overall integrity of the architecture. Assist in developing EA products and services
  • Provide guidance on the use of the segment architecture developed to inform stakeholders to facilitate budgetary planning and deployment of systems and technologies. Develop required EA artifacts to complete a Segment Architecture as required. Develop business architecture showing clear line of sight between levels of the segment architectures
  • Advise and educate on architectural issues to ensure that business segments are aligned with the future architecture including security architecture where applicable
  • Develop solutions architectures that support customer lines of business
  • Analyze and define advanced technologies relevant to the applications and services within the enterprise architecture
  • Support communication and implementation of “To-Be” architectures across the enterprise
  • Effectively support day-to-day tasks / activities in coordination with the different teams to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule. Support various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.
  • Accurately assess the risks associated with each solution design / project.
  • Familiar with IT investment planning and IT Governance processes
  • Clearly communicate complex technical designs and solutions in clear, concise, and easily readable format by both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal (i.e. day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written (requirements and design specifications) form, as well as have an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Travel as necessary, and perform additional job-related duties as requested, <10%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical area.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the IT design and architecture development processes, methodologies and their direct implementation
  • Experience in developing and executing segment and solutions architecture implementation plans
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, applications and systems engineering
  • Ability to communicate and interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven decision making and problem-solving skills and experience with EA projects
  • Excellent English communications skills.
  • Excellent ability to understand and express complex topics.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train personnel on enterprise architectures
  • Must be able to obtain agency clearance (background investigation).
