Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized technology problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to Information Assurance requirements.
  • Provides technical assistance to the program manager in addressing system security requirements IAW National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), DODI 8500.1; DoD 8500.2, DODI 8510.01 and other applicable security directives or policies. 
  • Provides trend analysis and recommendations to the program manager on security constraints and industry best practices. 
  • Expert using Government tools such as eMASS and supporting program accreditations both under DIACAP and using RMF.

Qualifications

Qualifications for Senior Level: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an IT area of specialty and 8+ years of relative experience. 
  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Practices (NIST) publications to include FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-39, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-115.
  • Experience with NIST, RMF, and C&A processes, and knowledge of DOD, and Federal Government security requirements.
  • IAT level II
  • CISSP required.

Qualifications for Mid Level:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or commensurate work experience, and at least 2+ years of experience with Information Systems Security Engineering.
  • Current IT Security certification e.g., Security +, CISSP, CAP, etc is preferred.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining authorization documentation; Security Control implementation and validation.
  • Understanding of server, database, storage, and networking devices and applications, and the security relevant capabilities of common server, desktop, and network technologies for Oracle and SQL databases and Microsoft Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Practices (NIST) publications to include FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-39, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-115.
  • Experience with NIST, RMF, and C&A processes, and knowledge of DOD, and Federal Government security requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and oral/written communication skills.

 

ACTIVE DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL.
